Sennheiser's promise is on its own product page: the company "made it so you can replace this one yourself when needed", and adds "No service center required".

As of 19 August 2026, no record in Sennheiser's spare-parts catalogues names MOMENTUM 5 Wireless — no replacement battery, and no part of any kind. Generic MOMENTUM Wireless accessories do exist there — two audio cables, a carrying case and an adapter — but each of them lists the models it fits, and the MOMENTUM 5 is not among them.

What that cable does with a flat battery is not something either source states, so this article does not claim it — but it is in the box, and it is worth asking the question before you treat the battery as the whole story.

What Else Sennheiser Publishes#

Beyond the battery argument, the manufacturer's own specification is worth reading: Bluetooth 5.4, class 1 at 10 mW maximum, with A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP and GATT profiles. The headphones weigh about 290 g and fold flat to 180 x 197 x 47 mm. Sennheiser's spec row reads four microphones per side, beamforming for noise reduction; the retail listing — the page the Buy Now link opens — counts eight digital microphones. The two agree, four per side and eight in all, and the total is also in the vendor's own copy: "all eight of them are digital".

Noise Cancellation#

The retail listing describes hybrid adaptive ANC "powered by 8 digital microphones" and rates it at up to 3× stronger in the midrange than the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless. That midrange scope sits in the same sentence as the figure, and it is worth carrying: this is not a claim about the whole spectrum.

The retail listing also names Natural Transparency, to let the outside back in, and an Enhanced Anti Wind Mode for outdoor listening.

Battery Life#

Sennheiser rates the headphones at "Up to 57 hrs music playtime via Bluetooth and with ANC", and publishes the condition it measured under: an iPhone at mid volume level. That condition is worth carrying: it is one device at one volume, not a figure for every pairing.

Battery Life, Against Its Own Predecessor#

Sennheiser's own comparison module on the retail listing puts the MOMENTUM 5 beside four of its stablemates. The battery row reads 57 hours for this model and 60 for the MOMENTUM 4 it replaces. The 3× midrange ANC figure quoted above comes from the listing's feature bullets rather than from this module — but a review that reports the manufacturer's own comparison only where the product wins is not reporting it.
